Robin & Tom’s Wedding

When Robin and Tom told us about their plans to get married by a lake, we were over the moon with anticipation because we knew then that their wedding photos were going to turn out gorgeous! They opted to do a first-look prior to the wedding ceremony. This gave us the chance to photograph their portraits before any guests arrived. Doing a first-look prior to the wedding ceremony make room in the timeline for a chance to get portraits done and out of the way earlier in the day so you can spend more time with your guests. And you know, just because the first-look took place before the ceremony it doesn’t mean that the groom won’t be excited to see his bride coming down the isle; I mean, take a look at these wedding photos; they were just as excited to see each other down the isle. These wedding photos turned out oh so very lovely. We were so happy and honored to play a role in documenting this union. Robin and Tom were just awesome and we wish them the best!

This wedding took place on a private property in Mount Dora that had a gorgeous lawn lined up with a beautiful hedge and trees. When we do a first-look; we simply positioned the groom where we know we are going to capture beautiful photos because the background is free of distractions and the lighting is coming from the best angle. Once we give the bride the “go ahead” nod, we try to stay out of the way to let the moment unfold organically as we watch and document it with our cameras. We don’t interrupt this moment or stage any movements, because this is a real moment charged with real emotion. And just like that, the first-look is over in a few blinks. For many couples, this moment takes a lot of pressure off from all the planning leading up to this day, so it’s only natural that the portraits to follow will be a lot of fun for the bride and groom. In this case, Robin and Tom did made it easy for us to photograph stunning wedding photos around the property followed by the bridal party photos and family portraits.
